Lititz Record
An integral part of a regional recreation commission is getting information out to the public. Where do you go for information on camping, picnicking, youth activities, senior services, adult leagues, etc., etc
? After reading this article you will have, at your fingertips, a one-stop shopping network of information that will meet your needs.
As you might be aware (or not), WRRC has developed working priorities for my position. These priorities ensure a solid foundation as we develop a long-term recreation commission. One key priority is to promote the public and private recreation providers in the region. To this end, a comprehensive web site (www.gowrrc.com) is being designed by Jason Redcay, of Redxwebdesign in Manheim, to meet these needs. Jason and I wanted to make the site flexible for daily changes, yet take into account the changes in future technology. Hopefully, you will find the site easy to navigate and thorough in content.
Pages that you can access on the site deal with parks and their amenities, indoor/outdoor facility space, maps of trails, regional events, monthly calendars, links to senior services, youth organizations, and much more
One thing to remember is that this site is a work in progress. Changes and updates will be done periodically.
This site will keep you updated to current and future open space development in our region. At the present time, there are a number of projects that are in the early stages of development, such as: the 21 acre park being developed in Elizabeth Township; the rail/trail project from Warwick Township to Ephrata Borough; the Capital Campaign currently taking place through the Lititz Community Center; the 10 acres of park development at the Warwick Township Campus, and also, a trail from Warwick Township Campus to Riparian Park.
We will continue to include as much information on the regions parks and recreation, plus provide links to public and private services, but we know that we may be missing important information. We are asking you to browse the site, and if there is information that needs to be added, please let me know. Remember, this is your web site!!!!!!!
To reach me go to the contact page on the site (www.gowrrc.com) or call me at 626-5096.
As the weather starts to break, get out and enjoy your leisure!!!!!!!!!
