What is WRRC?
It is a number of municipal governments in this case Lititz Borough,
Elizabeth Township, Warwick Township working together to
cooperatively fund a regional Parks and Recreation Commission that
serves the residents of the participating municipalities.
Also, involved in the WRRC is the Lititz Community Center and Warwick
School District. These two provide in-kind services such as; office space,
facility use, and personnel. The level of funding from the municipalities is
based on a formula that uses percent of the total population. In the
Warwick Region, the breakdown is:
Warwick Township 55%
Lititz Borough 32%
Elizabeth Township 14%
The goal is to integrate all recreation providers in the region and produce
a comprehensive park and recreation system. By organizing,
coordinating and efficiently streamlining these recreation providers, the
WRRC will ensure quality experiences for participants.
